Not every machine is AI! Some machines are plain machines. A plain machine does the same thing every single time. Think of a light switch — you flip it up, the light turns on. You flip it down, the light turns off. It never does anything different!
An AI helper is different. It can understand different things and give you different answers. Think of a voice assistant like Alexa or Siri — you can ask it about the weather, or ask it to play a song, or ask it a silly question. It listens and figures out what you mean each time!
Here is a simple test you can use: "Does it always do the exact same thing, or can it handle something new?" If it always does the same thing — it's a plain machine. If it can understand and handle new things — it's an AI helper!
