Sorting and Comparing Objects

What is Comparing?

Comparing means looking at two or more things to see how they are the same or different.

We can compare objects by:

  • Color - Is it red, blue, yellow?
  • Shape - Is it round, square, triangle?
  • Size - Is it big or small?
  • Material - Is it made of wood, plastic, or paper?

What is Sorting?

Sorting means putting things into groups that are alike.

Things in the same group share something special!
