How to Add Numbers Easily in Your Head

Let's learn to add numbers quickly and easily!!! There are many clever tricks.

1. Break into Tens and Ones

Split numbers into tens and ones. Add them separately, then combine.

2320 + 34540 + 5→6820+40=60, 3+5=860+8=68

2. Make a Round Number

Add to one number to make 10, 20, 30... Then add the rest.

28+15+2 to make 3030 + 13 = 43

3. Round and Adjust

Round the number, add, then take away the extra.

47 + 2929 ≈ 30→ 47 + 30 = 77Take away 177 - 1 = 76

4. Add in Parts

First add the tens, then add the ones.

34+2334 + 20 = 5454 + 3 = 57= 57
