🔢 Subtracting Two-Digit Numbers with Regrouping

Hello, friend! Today we'll learn how to subtract numbers when we need to "borrow" a ten. It's like magic with numbers! ✨✨✨

📚 1. What Does "Regrouping" Mean?

Sometimes when subtracting, there aren't enough ones!

For example: you can't subtract 7 from 2

Because 2 is less than 7! 😮

Regrouping — is when the ones digit in the first number is smaller than in the second number.
52 − 27 = ? 2 is less than 7 We need to regroup!

🤔 2. When Does Regrouping Happen?

✅ WITHOUT regrouping

58 − 23

8 is greater than 3

8 > 3 — all good!

⚠️ WITH regrouping

52 − 27

2 is less than 7

2 < 7 — we need to borrow!

Rule: If the ones in the first number < ones in the second number → we need to regroup! 🔄
