Drawing 3D Shapes
Three-dimensional shapes, or 3D shapes, are objects that have length, width, and height. Unlike flat 2D shapes, 3D shapes take up space and can be viewed from different angles.
Understanding 3D Shapes
Every 3D shape has three key components:
- Faces: The flat surfaces of a 3D shape
- Edges: The lines where two faces meet
- Vertices: The corners where edges meet
Euler's Formula: For any polyhedron (3D shape with flat faces):
V - E + F = 2
Where V = Vertices, E = Edges, F = Faces
V - E + F = 2
Where V = Vertices, E = Edges, F = Faces
