Mathematics Grade 3 Difficulty 1/5

Why Can't We Divide by Zero?

What Does Division Mean?

Division is about sharing or grouping things equally. When we divide, we're asking: "How many groups can we make?" or "How many are in each group?"

Example: Normal Division

If we have 12 cookies and want to share them among 3 friends, we divide: 12 ÷ 3 = 4

Each friend gets 4 cookies!
